My boyfriend and I happened upon Jee Ri Haveli upon our arrival in Jodhpur. We didn't have a reservation anywhere, but when we saw the view from Jee Ri Haveli, we were sold. The view is really amazing - full on view of the fort over the Gulab Sagar lake, with a balcony! It's also really close to the clocktower, so it's very central. The room itself was brand new, spotless, and had a great cushioned window seat for reading, with a view of the fort. I recommend everything about it.
But the main thing that makes me remember this hotel as fondly as I do is the wonderful family that owns it. They were all incredibly friendly and warm to us, making sure to ask us several times if there was anything we needed. My boyfriend was sick during our time in Jodhpur so we spent more time at the hotel than we normally would have, and the family showed a lot of concern for his health, even offering to take us to their family doctor.
By the second day of our stay, we took them up on their offer. Himanshu insisted on accompanying us there, without us asking him to or anything - it made the whole experience *much* easier and less worrisome - he even got us into the doctor quickly, we didn't have to wait in line.
We found it really interesting to talk to them about their lives there, and they even invited me into their home for tea one evening.
I would recommend this clean, charming, friendly haveli to anyone, it was truly one of the best parts of my trip to India.

this family-owned haveli is the perfect place to stay in Jodhpur, India. the rooms are well-maintained. towels are provided too. walking distance to all great sights in Jodhpur. the Tak family are very gracious hosts to each and every guest they serve. i loved the place and the people.
